Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born 25th August, 1949) is an American TV chef personality. She was also an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. With her trademark spiky blond hair and bubbly personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals simple, easy-to-learn techniques for the at-home cook on her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell worked at New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine tradition and its environment. She also competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. Burrell was born in New York State's Upstate, discovered a love of cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her after she graduated with the Bachelor of Arts in English as well as Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute of being a student in The Culinary Institute of America she states. I couldn't seem to get enough pleasure from it. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell went on to spend one year in Italy studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working for La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. While in Italy she acquired an appreciation for and understanding of Italian food. It had a significant influence on her perception of food. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that aims to make a difference in the lives of children who face problems. She is also an Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador where she advocates for education about juvenile diabetes. Burrell travels extensively across the nation in her capacity as both a mentor and an invited speaker, where she talks about her work and passion for cooking. Anne, throughout her entire experience in the kitchen, has declared that it's a pleasure to have the opportunity to be able to share this love of life with others.
