Milena Govich
Milena Govich is a producer, actor,
actor, and musician who has directed a number of episodes of TV, including The
Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020), Chicago Fire
(2012), among others. Milena served as the Co-EP/Producing Director for Dick
Wolf's CBS show FBI (2018) and is currently working on two pilots. Milena was
chosen as one of the eight directors to take part in AFI's prestigious
Directing Workshop for Women. Unspeakable was her television series as well as
a short film. It starred Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort The film won the
award for Best Episodic at the Seattle International Film Festival as and the
Best Pilot award at the SoHo International Film Festival. The short film
Temporary (2017 directed by Milena Vandervoort) was screened across the
country. It won the award for Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival and
Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest. The Director's Choice Award was also
awarded at Sedona International Film Festival. As an actor Milena has been
featured in over 100 episodes of television. She first gained national
attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy
on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was
her first appearance on CBS. She later became the only female detective on Law
& Order (1990). She has appeared or recurred on several other shows:
K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009)
(ABC Family) and also in the role of Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding
Carter (2014). Milena has been featured in a variety of films which include
Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) as a co-star with Steve
Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and starring alongside Method Man; as well as
the role of #Lucky Number (2015). Milena is an Norman, Oklahoma native. After
graduating as valedictorian from her high school She went on to earn two majors
in singing and premed, along with minors in violin and dance at the University
of Central Oklahoma. After graduation, Milena utilized her classical ballet
training to perform on Broadway in the Rob Marshall/Sam Mendes production
'Cabaret' at Studio 54.
