Her parents relocated to Dallas, Texas shortly after her birth. She graduated
from Booker T. Washington High School, Performing and Visual Arts located in
the Arts District. Then, she received an BFA degree in acting from Stephens
College and also studied at the British American Drama Academy. She was
employed for six years by Dallas Theatre Center as well as one year with Encore
Company. She started her acting career in theaters before her big screen debut.
Her stage credits include productions like "As You like It", "A
Funny Thing was Happening on the Way to the Forum", "Measure for
Measure", "Baby" and "Chicago" as well as many more.
Her most memorable performance came in Michael Cristofer's HBO television
series Gia (1998) featuring Angelina Jolie. She made her name famous for both
critics and viewers. Elizabeth's charismatic performance skills were apparent
in the sci-fi action film Frequency (2000) which starring Dennis Quaid and Neil
LaBute. With a variety of credits in theatres, TV shows and movies, Elizabeth
Mitchell continues to perform at her very best in the field of acting. Broke
her nose during filming of the film Frequency (2000). In 1994, she filmed a
Hertz Rent-A-Car commercial but "they pulled it because of the O.J.
thing." David Lee Smith was her boyfriend in 1995. They reside in Dallas
with their parents, who are tax and estate lawyers. Returning to the U.S. from
Europe after a lengthy run as Rosalind in a stage production "As As You
Like It". Her parents relocated to Dallas, Texas shortly after she was

High School for Performing and Visual Arts, situated in the Arts District of
Dallas. In 1991 she graduated from Stephens College with a Fine Arts degree. It
was the last quarter of 2001 in a role opposite Ioan Gruffudd in the role of
Cyd in Man and Boy (2002) which aired on March 1, 2002 on BBC 1 TV
