actress Danielle Riley Keough. 2 Born in Santa Monica (California) to musicians
Lisa Marie Presley & Danny Keough and is the grandchild of the actress
Priscilla Presley as well as the singer Elvis Presley. Keough was raised mostly
by her father in Hawaii and Los Angeles, and additionally resided with her
mother in California and Tennessee. At the age of 15, Keough began modeling.
She was a part of Dolce & Gabriel's fashion shows and Christian Dior's
on the cover of Vogue. Her first feature film appearance came at 20 years old
when she starred in a supporting part as Marie Currie in The Runaways (2010).
After The Good Doctor (2011), she starred in Jack & Diane (2012). Then
she was cast in Magic Mike (2012), she was a minor character in Steven
Soderbergh's comedy film Magic Mike (2012). In 2012, Keough appeared in Yellow
and Kiss of the Damned. Then, she appeared in the action film Mad Max: Fury
Road (2015). This was the fourth movie of the Mad Max series. In 2016, Keough
had her breakthrough role as a law student-turned-escort in the first season of
the anthology series The Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by
Soderbergh and based on his 2009 film of the same name. The critics praised her
for her role, and also an Golden Globe Award nomination for the best
performance by an actress in a limited Series or Motion Picture Made for
Television. Her subsequent performance as a shrewd young female in the drama
American Honey (2017) earned her further acclaim and an Independent Spirit
Award nomination for Best Supporting Female. Keough was the star of the
apocalyptic horror flick It Comes at Night (2017). Keough then reunited
Soderbergh for a role in Logan Lucky, a heist movie. In the year 2018, she was
a star in several thrillers and horror movies, including Lars von Trier's The
House That Jack Built and the Neo-Noir Under the Silver Lake and Hold the Dark.
In the year 2019, Keough starred as the lead in the psychological horror film
The Lodge, followed by an additional leading role in the comedy-drama Zola
(2020). Keough is the lead character Sandy Harrison in Netflix's 2020 release
of The Devil All the Time.
